LRA welcomes new Secretary

E-mail Print PDF

The committee of Loughton Residents' Association is pleased to announce that Rozi Rowcroft James has been appointed as the new Secretary for the association.

It was during Christmas 1998, that Rozi, together with her husband, John, came to Milton Keynes (from Aylesbury) to buy a sofa.  Having followed the signs for the new homes in Church View in Loughton (just for a little look), they decided to buy a house as well as the sofa!  They moved into Linceslade Grove in 2000.

Rozi is heavily involved in All Saints' Church, where she is the Treasurer, Wedding Co-ordinator and training to be a preacher.  She's a Chartered Accountant who is enjoying a career break at the moment and re-thinking what job to do in the future.  You may have visited Rozi's garden, as it is one that has been open during the Open Gardens weekends.

Rozi says "I love the way that Loughton feels like a village, yet we have the city so close, and the peace of the brook.  There's a real sense of community here - we knew no-one when we got here, but have been warmly welcomed.  I hope to work with the LRA to continue to help Loughton to thrive as a real community in Milton Keynes".

LRA AGM 2009 - A Great Success

E-mail Print PDF

During the LRA AGM 2009The Annual General Meeting of the Loughton Residents' Association was held on Thursday 7th May 2009 at the Loughton Manor First School.

It proved to be very well attended with over thirty residents turning up.  A major topic discussed was the possible demise of the association due lack of interest in people becoming committee members.  However, there was a lot of enthusiasm to keep the association running and a new committee has been formed to take the association forward.

Details of the new committee membership can be found on the Contact Us page.

The meeting was followed by a very interesting show of photos of Loughton taken over the last hundred years or so.
