LRA Job Descriptions

Below are the job descriptions of the LRA Committee Member roles.  The currently serving officers are:

Chair - Simon Kirkman
Treasurer - Barry Anderson
Secretary - Rozi Rowcorft James
Newsletter Editor - Rozi Rowcroft James
Website Editor - Mike Jones

Chair
• To lead and work with the committee in carrying out the LRA Agenda
• To work with the committee in defining and agreeing the agenda, in the best interests of Loughton residents.
• To chair General meetings of the committee and to Chair the AGM
• To represent the committee and Loughton Residents where necessary to external bodies.
• To ensure that the LRA communicates effectively with residents and other relevant interested parties, via the website and other media i.e. LRA annual Newsletter.
• To maintain the public image and credibility of the LRA as a body, and where this is undermined or jeopardised by any individual or individuals, to take appropriate action in agreement with the LRA Committee .

Treasurer
• Record all income and expense
• Banking (cheques at Annual Newsletter time)
• Produce annual accounts

Secretary
• Produce (with the chair) an agenda for each meeting
• Record minutes of each meeting

Newsletter Editor
• Co-ordinate all content for the Annual Newsletter
• Copy and paste content (and edit!) to produce the final Newsletter

Website Editor
• maintain the LRA domain name
• maintain email addressing forwarding rules for the lra domain(s)
• Pass on any emails to the general email address to the appropriate member (usually the chairman or secretary)
• add new content (local events and adverts) as and when supplied
